flickr photo this video is the first hour of king aka buckwheat being introduced to benson, i was very unsure if ben would tolerate another male but when they started wrestling i knew everything was going to be alright.

I didn't realize they were adults when they met.

You know, I was going to start a topic about this very thing, but I knew somebody had this question before I did.

Search = knowledge (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) !

I am glad to know that my fretting is for nothing, and the way Turk and Chinook play is normal, even if it does make me wince. The way thier teeth clack together sometimes just makes my belly tighten!

In calmer parts of the day, they are usually near each other, but sometimes not. My favorite time of day has to be first thing in the morning when we wake up. Turk pretends he is still sleeping and will stay there until Chinook gives him about 50 kisses. Then he "woos" a bunch and we go out to see the world. After that: GAME ON!

Great, because I also was wondering (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Nanuq and Sasha play rough too when they get going, and ye know the size difference there.
Nanuq: 1 yr 7 months and 104lb of pure Malamute V Sasha: 4 month collie/retriever mix puppy and 1/4 his size!
But she gives as good as she gets and bites his tail, legs, back, head, just about whatever she can get and
he does the same to her but is more gentle, He knows she is to small to be too rough.
If they get a bit too loopie I give them a time out each in seperate rooms for bout 3 minutes and then they usually go lay down and relax, if not I give another time out etc.

When they run around the house Nanuq would run past the sofa and Sasha(agility) will jump on the sofa and run along top of sofa while Nanuq runs beside it and when she gets to the end of the sofa she does an action movie jump from sofa onto Nanuq's back (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) If ye can imagine that in your head (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Will have to try record it sometime, could be straight from an action movie!

I get all three playing rough at the same time. McKenzie was brought up wrestling
with Molly, and then she and Keeta developed into a wrestling duo. McKenzie will still
wrestle with any Male Malamute she can, Lobo is one of her favorites.

Tino was brought up with his litter sister and they were re-homed a day apart, so he was
used to being with females and raising cane. When he came to our house, McKenzie jumped
right in, it took Keeta about a month to give full approval and join in. We have wrestling in
morning inside if I am working out of the house, and always outside either in the morning and
late evening. Tino's new trick is jumping over the girls, either inside or when they are running.

We get some yips, sometimes from McKenzie or sometimes Tino never Keeta. They do a lot
of running in the late evening. All three are fast. Usually the two girls box him in and take him
down sometime during the evening. Nothing to hurt him, just keep him in his place.

With him 11 months + and intact the wrestling has been a bit different lately. Both the girls are
spayed. But we are starting to refer to them as Horn Dawg and his love muffins. Nothing they
can't handle, but both like the extra attention.

It is very similar to all the wrestling I see among other Sibes and Mals and they don't get nasty.
Only when McKenzie starts going for the jowls to I stop her. I think it is a Basenji thing, she
doesn't do any harm, but I don't want her doing that to other dogs when the two girls get to go
to the dog park.
