2010 National, Denver? Options

I was just reading one of the posts Jeff bumped and it mentioned the 2010 Nationals in
Denver.

While our breed was not directly affected, this is a town that in the swipe of some signatures
banned a breed from ownership in the city. Not just by a certain date, they actually went out
and seized Pit Bulls from owners who still had them accompanied by police. They also indicated
that any dog including Labs and Lab mixes that looked like Pits would also be seized unless the
owner could produce proof that it was a full blooded Lab.

My understanding at that time that all the major dog organizations were going to not use Denver
for any major event.

While I realize that the rank and file probably did not make that decision, it seems very strange that
the Malamute Nationals are being held in a non-dog friendly city.
