Storm Kloud's EEcho of Kiana CGC TDI . July 28, 1997 - July 14, 2007. Kiana was our first malamute. We lost her exactly 3 years ago due to complications from a blood clotting disorder. She passed away unexpectedly from a massive stroke just 2 weeks shy of her 10th birthday. Kiana was a very big girl at 118 pounds out weighing me. She was very strong but I always had her in control. She was very obedient and did wonderful in obedience classes. She won a ribbon for 2nd place in a fun match after her graducation. She would get scores between 190- 196 out of 200 points in fun matches, but at obedience trials, she was a goof, a huge clown that often brought tears of frustration to my eyes.

A wonderful girl with a huge heart. She was a very well known and loved therapy dog. She was my mentor and I learned so much about the breed and how dominant a mal can be. She loved posing for pictures, loved all people, animals, and just loved life. She wasn't afraid of anything, the bravest dog I know. In full coat, 9 inches long, she was like a huge fluffy bear so big and full.

Don loved her so much and never wanted to leave her home. We took her every where we went. She traveled to 19 states with us, and visted some really cool places, like John Waynes birthplace, Jack Daniels Distillery, Washington DC, the list goes on. We miss her so much.

Four months after Kiana passed away, we got our girl Kia. "Storm Kloud's Kia From Kiana CGC TDI". We named her after Kiana. Kia is totally different from Kiana. She is very smart, but a big whimp. Our new dog Klondike is Kiana's nephew. Kiana and Klondike's mother were half sisters. It is really amazing how much Klondike's personality reminds of our Kiana. He is almost like a reincarnation of her except with a different look. Below are pictures of our beloved girl Kiana.
