Eye Infection Options

Last week we noticed that Nanuq had a fair bit of sleep(discharge) in both his eyes.
We cleaned it the 1st time and within 2 hrs after, it had come back again and the following morning he also had a bit of greeny sleep in his eye and where his eye's are white, it had turned pink'ish/red.
He also wasn't acting himself and was just down in the dumps a bit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
So we went to the vet and he said he had Conjunctivitis, possibly caused hay from field or high pollen count in the air(allergy) it can also be caused by a virus or allergy or a foreign object getting into the eye.
Anyway, an injection and 5 days of eye drops later it has all cleared up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
It is a fairly common eye infection and not serious if treated.

Sorry to hear the handsome man is down in the dumps.... hopefully he is back to himself and driving you nuts with those drops (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Although mine have usually been quite good for mom to doctor - there is something about dropping liquid in their eyes that definitely makes them think you have lost you mind (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
